Ballots for the proposed amendment voting have been counted.
With 69% of homeowners (157) participating in the vote,
there were 138 votes for passing the amendment and 19 against (88% – 12%).
As 153 votes (67% of all homeowners) in favor are required to pass an amendment to the declaration, the amendment did not pass.
This was an unprecedented first attempt at bringing up to date our 45 year old governing documents. We are encouraged by the attempt and look forward to future initiatives to bring them into the 21st century.
